On working in object navigator it is available to: work with objects, manage user personal data and change parameters of Foresight Analytics Platform:
Working with object is one of the main functions of the object navigator. It includes:
Object locking. It is available only in the desktop application.
Translating object's names. It is available only in the desktop application.
Access permission control. It is available only in the desktop application.
Viewing version history. It is available only in the desktop application.
Opening and saving objects from Foresight Analytics Platform tools.
Some operations of managing user data are available on working in the object navigator:
Viewing and changing user email addresses. It is available only in the desktop application.
Changing parameters of Foresight Analytics Platform provides a possibility to set up application to work with a specific help system, repository, units and proxy server:
Selecting help system type. It is available only in the desktop application.
Connecting to proxy server. It is available only in the desktop application.
To quickly navigate by folders and composite repository objects, such as assemblies, time series databases and modeling containers, one can use object tree. To expand or collapse folder hierarchy or composite object hierarchy in the object tree:
Use expanders next to folder or object:
In the web application: and .
In the desktop application: - and +.
Double-click a folder or object.
The navigator allows for executing the following operations with objects:
Open cube and time series database
Synchronize with source object
NOTE. Commands for working with objects will be unavailable or limited if the required tool does not have a feature. Available operations with objects are determined depending on user permissions and privileges.
