To indicate whether cells are locked for editing, one can use icons. Editing is not allowed:
For cells, for which the user does not permissions.
For calculated element cells.
For aggregated cells, which use as a data source the cube with configured aggregation.
Icons can be displayed in cells in regular reports, data entry forms, dashboards, express reports.
Setting up access to data sources depends on the selected access control method and is executed in the security manager. If the user can only read and/or is denied changing data, the user can only see data in reports but cannot edit it. If the user is denied reading and changing data, cells will be empty.
Setting access permissions to data of:
MDM dictionary is determined by the selected access control method. Depending on the selected method, there are different setup methods.
Cube is determined on creating cube segments in the web application and authorization objects in the desktop application.
Time series databases is executed in the Data Access Permissions dialog box. To open the dialog box:
Click the Data Access Permissions button on the Discretionary Access Control tab of the Access Control Settings dialog box in the security manager.
Select the Access Permissions item in the object's context menu in the object navigator.
To enable displaying of icons, select the table and:
Select the Show Icons for Calculated Cells and Show Access Permissions as Icons checkboxes in the Parameters group on the parameters panel in regular reports and data entry forms in the web application.
Select the Show Icons for Calculated Cells and Show Access Permissions as Icons checkboxes when setting basic properties of data entry form's table area in the desktop application.
Select the Select Read-Only Cells checkbox on the Formatting tab in the Table side panel group in regular reports in the desktop application, dashboards and express reports in the web application and in the desktop application:

After executing the operations, icons are displayed in table cells:
. It is displayed in the cells with values locked for editing if the user is allowed only to read and/or is denied to edit a data source. To display an icon in a regular report select the Highlight Access Permissions checkbox.
. It is displayed in cells with calculated elements calculated by formulas. To display an icon in a dashboard select the Edit Data checkbox.
NOTE. Icon color depends on the table style or fill of cells in a report: a light-colored icon is used for dark fill colors, and a dark-colored icon is used for light fill colors.

Make the Northern Region element calculated one by editing its formula. After the calculated element is edited, it is indicated with the
icon:

Set up data source access permissions: set constraints for data changing for Arkhangelsk region and Murmansk region. As the table contains both cells, for which the user has no permissions, and cells of calculated elements, all icons will be displayed in the table:

Add a constraint for data changing for the Northern District:

As a result of setting up icon displaying, the Northern region cells will display both icons.
NOTE. In regular reports one can enable displaying of icons
for cells, which are locked for reading and writing. The
icons for calculated element cells in this case are not displayed.
