Getting Started with the Analytical Queries (OLAP) Tool

Tool interfaces in the web application and in the desktop application are identical, and differences in functionality are given in appropiate commments.

To create a new express report in the object navigator:

Click the Create button in the main menu and select the Express Report option in the New Object panel that opens.
Select the cube and execute one of the operations:

Select the Open item in the cube's context menu.
Select the Open in a New Tab item in the cube's context menu.
Select the Open in a New Window item in the cube's context menu.
Double-click the cube.
Press the ENTER key.

Using this creation method, the table, built using selected object slice, will be added to the express report.

To open the ready express report in the object navigator execute one of the operations:

Select the Open item in the express report's context menu.
Select the Open in a New Tab item in the express report's context menu.
Select the Open in a New Window item in the express report's context menu.
Double-click the express report.
Press the ENTER key.

Main menu. It contains a list of commands that are used to execute various operations with express reports.
Ribbon. It contains buttons for creating and setting up an express report.
Side panel. It contains express report parameter settings and settings for managing data source dimensions.
Quick access toolbar. It contains frequently used commands.
Status bar. It contains calculation results of basic aggregates of the selected table cell range.
Sheet tabs. They are used to manage express report sheets.
Working area. It is used to build an express report.
