Access Permissions to Time Series Database Data

To determine access permissions to time series database data, click the Data Access Permissions button on the Discretionary Access Control tab. A dialog box opens displaying all data ranges set for the selected user and enabling the user to change their settings:

NOTE. The Data Access Permissions button is displayed to determine access permissions to time series database data only in the desktop application.

A data range is a subset of time series database data determined by specifying selection for a dimension or a time series calendar. Data ranges are contained in the menu with the same name.

The Permissions list shows permissions for the selected data range. To allow or deny executing actions on the data range, select the checkboxes next to the required operations.

Click the Add button to create a new data range. The Add Data Range dialog box opens.

The Attribute drop-down list contains all attributes of a time series database that is a link to a dictionary. Selection of attribute determines the dimension, which selection corresponds to the data range.

The Value combo-box determines selection of the dimension, which corresponds to the selected attribute. Multiple selection and context menu are available in this list:

Select All. It selects all dimension elements.
Deselect All. It deselects all dimension elements.
Select All Descendants. It selects all child elements of the selected dimension element.
Deselect Descendants. It deselects all child elements of the selected dimension element.
Advanced Selection. Advanced user selection methods:

Select Level. It selects all elements on the same level as the selected dimension element.
Deselect Level. It deselects all elements on the same level as the selected dimension element.
Select Group. The item is available if the dictionary that corresponds to the attribute contains selection groups. It sets selection for the elements included in dictionary selection group selected in the pop-up menu. The pop-up menu shows only ten of the recently used groups. If more than ten groups are determined for the dictionary, the menu contains the Another Group item. After executing the command a dialog box for selecting a group opens:

The Select a Group of Elements dialog box contains all dictionary selection groups in the Groups of Elements of the Dictionary list. After selecting the required group the dialog box closes, and all elements of the specified group are selected in the list.

Show Group. The item is available if the dictionary that corresponds to the attribute contains selection groups. The list shows only the elements included into dictionary element selection group selected in the pop-up menu. The work with the pop-up menu is similar to the menu of the Select Group item. After selecting a group the menu displays the Reset option that enables the user to display a full list of dimension elements.
Expand Entire Hierarchy. It expands list hierarchy.
Collapse Entire Hierarchy. It collapses list hierarchy.
Level Names. It enables the user to change names of dimension levels. As element names, one uses values of the dictionary attribute specified in the popup menu, for example:

Search String. It enables the user to find a dimension element. Clicking the button displays the box for entering the searched value:

The selected elements in this list will be added to the existing dimension selection.
