Legend Advanced Setup

To work with the tool in Foresight Analytics Platform 10, use the new interface.

A map legend is used to associate and show indicators and attributes values on a map.

NOTE. When the legend is resized, it is automatically scaled accounting for the number of specified columns. The font size is not larger than the size selected on the Formatting tab.

External and internal legends can be set up for a map. The difference between the internal and external legends is that the internal legend can be placed only inside the map area, while the external one can be placed anywhere in the report.

To display internal legend:

Select the Display Legend checkbox on the Parameters tab of the Map Properties dialog box.
Click the Legend button in the View group of the Object. Map ribbon tab, and select the required legend position in the drop-down menu of the button.

To hide internal legend:

Deselect the Display Legend checkbox on the Parameters tab of the Map Properties dialog box.
Click the Legend button in the View group of the Object. Map ribbon tab and select the option in the drop-down menu of the button.

To display external legend, click the Legend button in the Maps group of the Insert ribbon tab. The Map Legend dialog box opens where the user can set up a legend for the specified map.

To define a custom position for the legend, click the Move Object button in the Layout group of the Object.Format ribbon tab.
