If sidehead or heading contains several dimensions, use merge and tuck settings to display the table sidehead/heading in a more compact way.
To set up merging and tucking of dimensions in sidehead/heading, use the Dimensions area in the Layout group of parameters of sidehead/heading.
Open the Layout group of parameters
To merge a dimension with the previous dimension, select the Merge with Previous item in the dimension's context menu in the Dimensions area. After executing the operations the selected dimension is merged with the previous dimension, and the command checkbox is selected.
To unmerge dimensions, deselect the checkbox next to the Merge with Previous command.
After the dimension is merged with the previous dimension, it can be tucked with other dimensions.
To merge elements of one dimensions with elements of another dimension, tuck dimensions. When tucking is used, the dimension element to be tucked will not be displayed in a separate string, and its values will be displayed in the dimension element string, to which tucking is executed.
NOTE. Only merged dimensions of table sidehead/heading can be tucked.
To tuck dimensions in sidehead/heading:
Select the Tuck Elements item in the dimension's context menu. The dimension's context menu will display the Set Up item, and the Tuck Elements item checkbox will be selected.
Select the Set Up item in the dimension's context menu. As a result, an additional panel for dimension selection is displayed.
Select dimensions to be tucked on the additional panel.
For each dimension element, for which tucking is set up, it is checked if there are tucked elements of the underlying dimension:
If there is one tucked element, it is tucked.
If there are several tucked elements, then only one, that was the first selected, will be tucked.
NOTE. It is required to select several elements if after filtering of shared dimensions or using indicator, various elements of tucked dimension will be present under each element of upper dimension.
After executing the operations the selected dimension is tucked.
Name of the selected dimension after tucking is displayed in the original form and contains a source element name. The formatting specified for the dimension that was in the cell before tucking will be applied for this table cell.
