Synchronizing Visualizers on Slide

Synchronization can be used to simultaneously manage selections of identical dimensions of several visualizers located on one or several slides.

NOTE. One can use synchronization by selection and by selected data at the same time.

Synchronization by Selected Data

Synchronization by selected data can be used to rebuild visualizers on the slide according to the selected data. Selected data in one visualizer is automatically displayed in the same selected data on another visualizer. Selection in dimensions is not changed.

NOTE. Synchronization is available for visualizers that include the dimensions with matching identifiers/names.

To set up synchronization by selected data of the selected visualizers:

Open the Synchronization group of parameters on the settings panel:

Select the checkboxes:

Transfer. The controlling visualizer will transfer selected data to other visualizers with enabled synchronization. The checkbox is selected by default.

NOTE. The Transfer checkbox is available for all visualizer types, except Sankey Chart, Scatter Chart, Indicator, Map, and custom chart templates.

Receive. The controlled visualizer will receive selected data from visualizers with enabled synchronization. The checkbox is selected by default.

When data is selected in the controlling visualizer, data is rebuilt in slide's controlled visualizers. By default, all visualizers (controlled and controlling) are synchronized by selected data.

If the controlled visualizer does not have the dimensions that are present in the controlling visualizer, they are automatically added to the Filter area of the controlled visualizer. Such dimensions are unavailable for edit.

To exclude a visualizer from synchronization, deselect the Transfer and Receive checkboxes in the Synchronization group of parameters on the settings panel.

After saving information panel, data selection in the controlling visualizer is saved and displayed on next opening of information panel for view and edit. Data selection in the information panel opened for view is not saved.
When a visualizer is copied or duplicated, synchronization settings are copied too.
If a visualizer is synchronized by selected data, the specified selected data is reset if dimension element selection changes. If all data was selected, after selection changes, all data is selected.
The dimensions that are automatically added to controlled visualizers are deleted in the following cases:

The Transfer checkbox is deselected for a controlling visualizer, that is, the visualizer becomes a controlled one.
The controlling visualizer was deleted from the slide.
The dimensions, based on which the controlling visualizer was built, were deleted from data source,

The data selected in visualizers can be reset for active tab of slide of the information panel opened for edit and view.

To reset data selection, click the Reset Selection on the toolbar. After this, visualizers on the slide will be rebuilt according to the configured selection.
