Creating Stage Steps

To open the step wizard in the Set Up Business Process dialog box:

• In the working area or process tree, select a process stage or step, for which a step must be added.

• Click the Add Step button in the Execution group on the Process ribbon tab or open context menu.

Select the type of created step in the menu that opens:

• Data Entry.

• Calculation.

• Approval.

• Subprocess Call.

• Fore Method Call.

• ETL Task.

Enter step name.

The stage where step is created is displayed in the drop-down list. The stage is not editable.

To add a step in other stage, close the wizard, select the required stage or step with the cursor and reopen the wizard.

If the Parallel Execution checkbox is selected, it means that the step will be executed from the stage beginning. The number of steps executed in parallel is unlimited. Each parallel step can be a group and include several consecutive steps.

If the checkbox is deselected, the previous step is available for selection, after its execution the created step will be started.

NOTE. The checkbox is deselected by default. If the first step is created in the stage, the checkbox is not displayed for parallel execution setup.

The list is available if the Parallel Execution checkbox is deselected. Select the predecessor step in the list, after its execution the created step is started.

NOTE. The list is displayed for the second and the following steps.

The box is mandatory. Select the required object in the authorization object drop-down list.

NOTE. If there is no appropriate authorization object, click the All Process Authorization Objects button. The Set Up Process Authorization Objects dialog box opens, in which an object can be added.

The box is mandatory. The drop-down list contains user roles specified in the authorization object.

NOTE. If there is no required group of users in the list, click the Open Security Manager button. The dialog box of security manager of Foresight Analytics Platform, which enables the user to create a required group of users.

If the checkbox is selected, the dynamic write permission is granted on the data segment specified in the authorization object, group, or user specified in the Access Role list. Dynamic permission is applied only on step execution.

When the checkbox is deselected, group or user will have read-only permission.

NOTE. The checkbox is selected by default for the data entry step.

The box is mandatory. The data entry form that opens by default on process step execution. Select the data entry form in the drop-down list, when selecting you can use search. The list contains a tree of repository folders and objects of the Data Entry Form type.

NOTE. To edit the selected data entry form, click the button. The data entry form opens for edit.

The time, in which a step must be executed on process execution. Enter a numeric value, then select a time measurement unit in the list:

• Day (default).

• Week.

• Month.

• Quarter.

• Half-year.

• Year.

If the step is not finished by the scheduled execution period, the step status becomes Expired and Not Executed; Completed with Error.

The step execution period impacts the whole process execution period, which is determined on starting process for execution.

Data entry form and process parameters must be linked in order to open data entry form with the same parameters as the process step started for execution.

• To set correspondence in the Link with Parameter/Selection column, select process parameters from the list and select the checkbox:

• Undefined. In this case data entry form is opened with parameter value specified in data entry form by default:

• Link. In this case the process parameter corresponding to data entry form parameter is selected:

NOTE. If required, the dictionary attribute can be selected to be sent as parameter to data entry form.

• Fix. In this case, the specified values are selected in the drop-down list, in order to send a limited list of parameter values to data entry form:

• To automatically copy parameter settings from authorization objects, click the Fill from Authorization Object button.

NOTE. If there is no required process parameter, click the Process Parameters button. The Process Settings and Parameters dialog box opens where process parameter can be added.
On selecting links between data entry form and process parameters, it is required to use dictionaries of the same type. For example, it is prohibited to link dictionary with text elements and calendar dictionary. In this case, after the process is started for execution, the monitoring dialog box will display message indicating that errors occurred on generating parameters for data entry form and it is required to check parameter settings for the step.

The box is mandatory. Select a calculation algorithm in the drop-down list using search. The list contains a tree of repository folders and objects of the Calculation Algorithm type.

NOTE. To edit the selected calculation algorithm, click the button. The calculation algorithm opens for edit.

Select the Manual or Automatic radio button:

• Manual. The step is started manually.

• Automatic. The step is started automatically after the previous step was executed.

NOTE. By default automatic execution is selected for the step.

It is required to set correspondence between calculation algorithm and process parameters to start calculation algorithm with the same parameters as the process step.

• To set correspondence between algorithm and process parameters:

• In the Process Parameter column select a process parameter in the list that corresponds with the algorithm parameter

• In the Selection Type column select one selection type in the list:

• Source. It includes elements only of the first hierarchy level.

• Child Elements. It includes elements only of child hierarchy levels.

• Source + Child Elements. It includes elements only of the first and child hierarchy levels.

• By Selection Schema. Previously created selection schema of dictionary elements is used, for example, for the Organization Structure dictionary:

• By Function. The selection schema created using Fore function is used, for example:

NOTE. After selecting the unit, determine function name: Function <function name>(selection: IDimSelection): IDimSelection.

• To limit the number of parameter values, with which calculation is started:

• Select the checkbox in the Fixed column.

• Select specific values in the drop-down list of process parameters.

The calculation algorithm in the given example is started with fixed value of the Plan Version parameter: Year plan 2018. For fixed parameter value, selection type is not selected.

• If it is required to send values of specific attribute to the algorithm, select dictionary attribute as a parameter. If attribute is not selected, the default attribute is sent:

If the checkbox is selected, the dynamic write permission is granted for the data segment specified in the authorization object, group, or user specified in the Access Role list.

If the checkbox is deselected, only the write permission is granted.

The box is required to be filled. Select the start subprocess in the drop-down list, when selecting you can use search. The list contains a tree of repository folders and objects of the Process type.

To edit the selected subprocess, click the button. The Set Up Business Process dialog box opens to edit a subprocess.

NOTE. If the required subprocess is absent in the list, click the Create Process button. A new process creation dialog box opens.

Creation date and time of subprocess version is displayed.

The selected Group Call checkbox means that on executing a step several subprocesses for all elements of the dictionary selected in the Division Parameter list will be started.

The Group Call checkbox is selected by default with unselected parameter value that is required to be filled. If during process execution there is not necessity to divide a subprocess by a parameter, deselect the checkbox.

If the Group Call checkbox is selected, at least one process parameter can be linked to the specified subprocess division parameter in the Correspondence Between Data Subprocess and Process Parameters area.

Select the Manual or Automatic radio button:

• Manual. The step is started manually.

• Automatic. The step is started automatically after the previous step was executed.

NOTE. By default automatic execution is selected for the step.

• To limit parameter values, with which the nested subprocess is started:

• Select the checkbox in the Fixed column.

• Select specific values in the drop-down list of process parameters.

In the dialog box above, the subprocess will be started with a fixed value of the Plan Version parameter: "2018 - Basic Plan".

• If the Group Call checkbox is selected, a process parameter must be linked to the specified subprocess division parameter in the Correspondence Between Subprocess and Process Parameters area:

• In the Process Parameter column select a process parameter in the list that corresponds with the subprocess parameter. The dictionaries selected as a process and subprocess must have identical structure:

• If one dictionary is a division parameter by several process parameters, add it several times in the Process Settings and Parameters dialog box for each parameter.

The window above shows that subprocess is started for each value of the Organization Structure (CFD) parameter, the second parameter is fixed.

NOTE. If the drop-down list of process parameters does not contain the required value, click the Process Parameters button. The Process Settings and Parameters dialog box opens, in which a process parameter can be added.

The box is required to be filled. Select the start Fore unit in the drop-down list, when selecting you can use search. The list contains a tree of repository folders and objects of the Unit type.

NOTE. To edit the selected Fore method, click the button. The dialog box with the Fore development environment opens.
The unit must not contain external parameters.

Select the Fore method name in the list.

NOTE. The method name must completely match the name specified inside the unit.
