Table Structure

A data table includes several main elements:

Data table structure includes the following elements:

Corner. The top left cell of the table that enables the user to show dimension names in rows and columns.

Sidehead. The table element that shows names of dimension elements located in rows.

Heading. The table element that shows names of dimension elements located in columns.

Data. The table element that consists of data cells.

Main Operations with Table

To create a table, execute one of the operations:

Hover the cursor over the required source/slice. The cursor turns to .
Drag the source/slice to the working area. The top left border of the selected cell will be the left top border of a table or a chart built based on the created slice.

NOTE. When the source is dragged to the working area, a new slice is added automatically.

Select an empty cell on a report sheet. The top left border of the selected cell will be the left top border of a table or a chart built based on the required data slice.
Execute one of the operations:

Select the Add > Table item in the data source's context menu on the Source panel. A new data slice will be created for the data source, based on which a table will be created on a report sheet.
Select the Add > Table item in the data slice's context menu on the Sources panel.

After executing one of the operations:

A table is added to the sheet.
A table with the Table N default name is added on the Sources panel, where N - table number.
