Managing Parameters

If a data entry form uses parametric indicators or dimensions, one can set values for their parameters or set up management via data entry form parameters. Parametric indicators and dimensions are managed using the Manage Parameters dialog box:

Determine settings:

Parameters. It contains all cubes, dictionaries, dimensions, which contain parameters. The column is read-only.

If the same cube is added in a data entry form as an indicator several times, once can set up management for each cube instance in the dialog box. If a parametric dimension is added to a heading or a sidehead, the parameter management dialog box will display only one instance of the dimension.

NOTE. Cube's private dimensions are not displayed. Management of private dimensions should be set up in the cube.

Value Type. Select parameter value creation option:

None. Default value. No value is sent to a parameter.
Value. A fixed value is sent to a parameter.
Parameter Attribute. The parameter gets value of the data entry form parameter attribute.

Value. Set the parameter value. The box appearance depends on the selected value type:

For the Value type. Specify in the box the specific value corresponding to dictionary attribute type.
For the Parameter Attribute type. Select in the drop-down list the data entry form parameter and its attribute.

NOTE. The Value box is available only for the Value and Parameter Attribute value types.
