Creating and Editing User Group

To create a user group:

In the web application:

Click the Group toolbar button.
Select the Create Group item in the drop-down menu of the Group button in the toolbar.

In the desktop application:

Select the Create Group item in the security manager's context menu.
Select the Group > Create Group main menu item.

After executing one of the operations the Properties side panel opens in the web application or the Group Properties dialog box opens in the desktop application. Set properties of the user group being created.

NOTE. A user group can be created by the users who have the Changing User Permissions, Distributing Roles, Changing Policy privilege, and this option is unavailable in SQLite DBMS based repositories.

To edit a user group:

In the web application select a user group.
In the desktop application:

Select the Properties context menu item for the selected user group.
Select the User > Properties main menu item for the selected user group.
Double-click the selected user group.

After executing one of the operations the Properties side panel opens in the web application or the Group Properties dialog box opens in the desktop application. Change properties of the user group.

To change properties when creating and editing a user group, use the Properties side panel in the web application or the Group Properties dialog box in the desktop application.
