To change general properties of a user group, use the General Properties tab on the Properties side panel in the web application and in the Group Properties dialog box in the desktop application.


User group parameters:
Name. Unique name of a user group among users and user groups. Names of user groups are case insensitive. Creating user groups with equal names that are different only in case is not allowed.
IMPORTANT. Names of the ADMINISTRATORS and USERS built-in user groups are reserved and locked for editing.
Displayed Name/Full Name. Full name of a user group.
SID. Identifier of a user group. It is generated automatically and is read-only.
NOTE. The parameter is available only in the web application.
Description. Description of a user group can be added at the administrator's discretion.
Oracle DBMS Role. Role on DBMS server. It is used in domain authorization of users who are not in the repository security manager.
NOTE. The parameter is available only in the desktop application when connecting domain group in the repository security manager based on Oracle DBMS.
Group Members. Users included in the group.
Group Objects. View access permissions of a user group to repository objects.
NOTE. The Group Members and Group Objects tabs are displayed only in the web application when creating and editing a user group. In the desktop application group members are created on the Group Members tab, group objects are displayed on the Group Objects panel.
