Setting Up Visualizer Title

A title is presented in the control mode by default and displayed as a hyperlink, clicking on which opens a hierarchical list that is used to select a dimension element. For example:

TIP. If it is required to use a title separately from visualizer, use the Text block. The Text block is set up similarly to a title.

Select the visualizer in the working area, which title is required to be set.
Make sure that data source is set for the visualizer.
Select or deselect the Title checkbox in the visualizer's context menu.

A title is displayed in the selected visualizer.

In the desktop application the title can be displayed in two modes:

Simple. A title is displayed as text.
Control. A title is displayed as a hyperlink, clicking on which opens a hierarchical list that is used to select a dimension element. Default mode.

NOTE. In the web application, the title is always displayed in the control mode.

To select title display mode:

Select a visualizer in the working area, for which a title is displayed.
Select the radio button corresponding to the mode in the drop-down menu of the Title button on the Title ribbon tab.

The title is displayed in the selected mode.

A title can support several user interface languages, for example, Russian and English. Such titles are named multilingual. To create a multilingual title:

Double-click the title. The additional button is displayed after the title.
Click the button. The Translations dialog box opens. For details about how to work with the dialog box, see the Translating Dashboard Elements Into Other Languages section.
Set translation of title into other languages.

NOTE. If the title is multilingual, the title is set up for the current repository language.

Setting Up Title Structure

To set up additional title parameters in the desktop application, for example, selection mode, select the Editor Parameters item in the title's context menu in the edit mode. The Editor Parameters dialog box opens. This option is not available for the Text block.

To save changes end exit the edit mode, click the main mouse button outside the title bar.

Setting Up Title Formatting

To set up title appearance, use the groups of commands: Number Format, Font, Alignment, Sizes on the Title ribbon tab.

NOTE. The option is available only for the Value substitution.

To set up number format, select the Value substitution and use the Number Format group.

Select one of the supported data formats in the drop-down list.

To quickly set up data format, use the buttons:

- converting to currency format. To select currency, use the drop-down menu of the button.
- converting to percentage format.
- converting to numeric format and displaying numeric groups separator with two fractional decimal places.
- decreasing digital capacity. It is used to display less accurate values.
- increasing digital capacity. It is used to display more precise values.

To set up font, use the elements in the Font group:

Font. Select one of the fonts available in the operating system.
Font size. Set the required font size. The size is set in points, and it can be selected in the drop-down list or entered manually. Available values range: [1; 72].
Font style. Click the buttons that determine font style:

B. Bold.
I. Italic.
U. Underline.

When the button is pressed, the corresponding font style is used. Several styles can be used simultaneously, for example, pressed buttons B and I result in bold italic font style.

Font color. Select font color in the drop-down color palette.
Background color. Select background color in the drop-down color palette. The option is available only in the desktop application.

TIP. In the desktop application, to execute additional title font setup, use the Font tab in the Format dialog box. To display the dialog box, click the button at the right bottom corner of the Font group on the ribbon tab, or select the Format item in the context menu of the title that is in the edit mode.

Formatting can be applied to the whole title or its parts.

To set up alignment, use buttons in the Alignment group of commands for horizontal and vertical alignment.

NOTE. The option is available only for titles.

To set exact title height:

Deselect the Height Autofit checkbox.
Set height value in the Height box.

To set up automatic height autofit:

Select the Height Autofit checkbox.
Set maximum value of title height in the Height box.
