Administration and Access Control

A mobile platform server is controlled using the administrator console and includes two parts: administration and access to data sources.

Processes are usually divided by means of several environments - development, testing, and operation.

Each environment provides transferring settings inside the server or between platform servers, and unites projects that differentiate access to data sources.

To open administrator console:

Make sure that mobile platform is installed at the server.
Specify administrator console URL in the address field of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox depending on the protocol in use:

<http or https>://<IP address or DNS server name>

After executing the operation the start page of the administrator console displays login boxes. Enter user name and password into the appropriate boxes. If credentials are correct, the administrator is authorized, and the administrator console opens with the Environments active section on the side panel.

IMPORTANT. The platform has a default administrator account "superuser" with the password "superuser". After creating proper administrator accounts change the password and disable activity of the "superuser" administrator in account parameters.

Product name. It contains name of Foresight Mobile Platform.
Installation name. It contains name of administrator console for installation identification. To change the name, in the Administration section enter a new name on the Name tab in the Installation Name box and click the Save button.
Logout. It contains the button to log out from the account and opens the login dialog box.
Side panel. It contains administrator console sections as an hierarchy.
Breadcrumb. It contains a breadcrumb for the selected section.
Working area. It is used to work with active section of the administrator console.
