Working with Sheet Elements

To select an arbitrary cell:

• Click the cell.

• Go to the cell by using the UP, DOWN, RIGHT/TAB, LEFT/SHIFT+TAB keys.

To select the outermost cell:

• The leftmost cell in the current row. Press CTRL+LEFT.

• The rightmost cell in the current row. Press CTRL+RIGHT.

• The topmost cell in the current column. Press CTRL+UP.

• The bottommost cell in the current column. Press CTRL+DOWN.

To select a single column:

• Click the column header.

• Click any cell in the required column and press CTRL+SPACE.

To select several columns:

• Click the required column header, hold down the mouse button and drag the cursor to the required column header.

• Click the required column header, hold down the SHIFT key and click the required column header.

• Select the random cell range contained in the required column range and press CTRL+SPACE.

To select a row:

• Click the row header.

• Select any cell of the required row and press SHIFT+SPACE.

To select several rows:

• Click the required row header, hold down the mouse button and drag the cursor to the required row header.

• Click the required row header, hold down the SHIFT key and click the required row header.

• Select the random cell range contained in the required row range and press SHIFT+SPACE.

To select a cell range:

• Click the required cell at the beginning of the range, hold down the mouse button and drag the cursor to the required cell and the end of the range:

• Select the required cell at the beginning of the range, hold down the SHIFT key and click the required cell at the end of the range.

• Select the required cell at the beginning of the range, hold down the SHIFT key and go to the required cell at the end of the range using the UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT keys.

To select a range from the current cell to the outermost cell:

• To the leftmost cell in the current row. Press CTRL+SHIFT+LEFT.

• To the rightmost cell in the current row. Press CTRL+SHIFT+RIGHT.

• To the topmost cell in the current column. Press CTRL+SHIFT+UP.

• To the bottommost cell in the current column. Press CTRL+SHIFT+DOWN.

To select all cells on a data entry form sheet, press CTRL+A.

Compound range is a range consisting of several uncrossed ranges and/or single cells.

To get a compound range:

1. Select the required cell range or a single cell.

2. Hold down the CTRL key and select other required ranges or single cells.

After executing the specified operations a compound range is selected.

To select the entire data sheet:

• Click the top left corner of the table at the intersection of row and column headers.

• Press CTRL+SHIFT+SPACE.

After executing one of the operations the entire data sheet is selected.
