Setting Links with Cube Parameters

To work with the tool in Foresight Analytics Platform 10, use the new interface.

Links are used to manage cube parameters using calculation algorithm parameters. When cubes are used in algorithm blocks, algorithm parameter values will be sent to linked parameters of these cubes.

Links between calculation algorithm parameters and cube parameters can be set on the Manage Cube Parameters tab in the Calculation Algorithm Parameters dialog box:

Initially, the tab displays only parameters of all cubes added to a calculation algorithm:

To add a new cube to the list, click the Add button and select the required cube in the Select Object dialog box that opens.

To link a cube parameter with a calculation algorithm parameter:

Select cube parameter.
Click the Set Link button. The Calculation Parameter Link dialog box opens, in which select the calculation algorithm parameter linked with the block parameter:

Parameters with the same data type can be bound, and also all parameters with the Selection type.

As a result, the calculation algorithm parameter will be linked with the cube parameter. Set links for all required cube parameters.

TIP. To automatically create links between parameters of the Selection type, click the Link All button.

After links are set, one can work with cube parameters via calculation algorithm parameters.

When value of the calculation algorithm parameter linked with a cube parameter used in blocks is changed, the information message is displayed prompting to check again calculation algorithm settings and warning that parametric dimensions will be rebuilt and selection by the rebuilt dimensions will be reset.

To unlink, select the link and click the Unlink button.

To delete a cube from a calculation algorithm, select it in the list and click the Delete button.

NOTE. On an attempt to delete the cube used in some of calculation algorithm blocks, the message is displayed warning about the impossibility to delete the cube: "Cannot delete the "<cube_name>" cube because. it is used in the "<block_name>" block".
