Setting Up Filtering

To open the Filtering group of parameters:

1. Select a cell or a cell range in the table.

2. Click the Parameters button on the toolbar.

3. Select the Table area type in the drop-down menu of the side panel title.

When the checkbox is selected, parent elements of rows or columns not excluded during filtering will be hidden.

When the checkbox is selected, empty rows or columns will be hidden.

When the checkbox is selected, rows or columns with zero values will be hidden.

When the checkbox is selected, rows or columns with non-numeric values only will be hidden.

When the checkbox is selected, rows or columns, which cell data corresponds to the condition specified in the drop-down list will be hidden. Most of the conditions use one or two numbers to match with cell result:

• Equal to A.

• Not Equal to A.

• Greater than A.

• Less than A.

• Greater or Equal to A.

• Less or Equal to A.

• Between A and B.

• Less than A or Greater than B.

• Expression.

To set a complex formula, use the Expression option.

When the checkbox is selected, the elements, for which filtering by attribute values is set up, will be hidden.

Filtering setup is available only for dimensions containing linked attributes. Rules specified for unlinked attributes will be ignored.

To set up filtering by attribute values:

1. Click the Filtering Settings button. The Filter by Attribute Values dialog box opens:

The dialog box displays a list of added attribute links, for which filtering is applied.

2. Add an attribute link:

1. In the left drop-down list select an attribute from the dimension, based on the selection of which filtering will be executed.

2. In the right drop-down list select an attribute from the dimension to be linked. Filtering will be executed in this dimension.

3. If required, select the Ignore Link if Empty checkbox next to the corresponding attribute to exclude links with empty attribute values from calculation.

After executing the operations, filtering by attribute values will be set up. To add new attribute links, repeat steps.

To delete link between attributes, click the Delete button next to the link.
