The control set up dialog box opens to add or edit controls:
Determine control settings:
Name. Set name for the control. The default name is Control >Number>.
Identifier. Specify a unique identifier of the control. Identifier can have only Latin letters, numbers and underline character. The default identifier is ELEMENT<Number>.
Source. Select the data source, which dimension will be controlled by a control. Optional setting. When a data source selected, the Controlled Dimension box becomes available, the control value editor is automatically to the Dictionary Box Editor type.
Controlled Dimension. Use the drop-down list to select the dimension which will be controlled by the control. The box becomes available after the data source is selected.
Controlled Parameter. By default, the drop-down list shows the None option and report parameters if any are defined. If the report parameter being added is connected to the data source parameter, adding such a parameter enables the user to control data source parameters.
NOTE. When a controlled parameter is selected, the controlled dimension can be omitted.
Show on Sheet. Determine, which report sheets will show this control. The drop-down list contains names of all sheets of the current report, as well as the All Sheets and the Do not Show options. Select the Do not Show option to hide a control from the element list on the side panel and the Controls panel. Multiple selection of sheets is available for this list.
NOTE. Hidden controls can be shown.
When Value is Changed, Calculate. The All Sheets with This Element option is set by default. In the drop-down list select the report area to calculate on value change:
Only Bound Slice.
Entire Report.
All Sheets with This Element. When this option is selected for hidden controls, and element selection changes, sheets will be calculated only after refreshing the entire report.
Specific Sheet of Current Report.
Do not Calculate. Selecting this option cancels recalculation for the slice, report, sheets or a specific sheet (in the view mode) on control value change.
Click the Editor Parameters button to set up the control editor. The Editor Parameters dialog box opens.
