Managing Object Displaying

To show objects as small icons:

• In the web application click the Small Icons button on the control panel.

• In the desktop application:

• Click the Small Icons button on the ribbon.

• Select the View > Small Icons item in the context menu of the objects list.

After executing one of the operations the list objects view is changed:

To show objects as large icons:

• In the web application click the Large Icons buttons on the control panel.

• In the desktop application:

• Click the Large Icons button on the ribbon.

• Select the View > Large Icons item in the context menu of the objects list.

After executing one of the operations the list objects view is changed:

To show objects as extra large icons:

1. Make sure that the Enable Extra Large Icons without Considering Object Access Permissions checkbox is selected in the security manager.

2. Set displaying of large icons:

• In the web application click the Extra Large Icons button on the control panel.

• In the desktop application:

• Click the Extra Large Icons button on the ribbon.

• Select the View > Extra Large Icons button in the context menu of the objects list.

After executing one of the operations the objects list view is changed only for the objects created using the Dashboards, Analytical Queries (OLAP), Reports, Time Series Analysis tools:

The icon contains a preview that displays a plot area of report's active sheet at the moment of saving. The icon is refreshed after each report saving.

NOTE. If large icons were selected before selecting the checkbox in the security manager, the icon will not contain a preview till the next object saving.

if required, disable icon refresh on report saving.

IMPORTANT. Disabling icon refresh is available only in the development environment using the ScreenshotType enumeration.

To display objects as a table:

• In the web application click the Table button on the control panel.

• In the desktop application:

• Click the Table button on the ribbon.

• Select the View > Table item in the objects list's context menu.

After executing one of the operations the list objects view is changed:

The table contains additional information about objects.

To display objects as a list:

• In the web application click the List button on the control panel.

• In the desktop application:

• Click the List button on the ribbon.

• Select the View > List item in the objects list's context menu.

After executing one of the operations the list objects view is changed:

To align table columns by contents, click the Resize Columns to Fit Contents button.

To set up view of table columns:

• Click the Set Up Columns button.

• Select the View > Set Up Columns item in the context menu opened on clicking the free area.

After one of the operations is executed, the Select Columns to Display dialog box opens:

To show or hide table columns, select or deselect checkboxes next to the corresponding column headers.

NOTE. The checkbox next to the Name column cannot be deselected.

To move along column headers, use Up and Down buttons.

Use the Select All and Deselect buttons to select or deselect all elements.

To display comments for repository objects, use the Comment column. A comment can be added for each object in the Object Properties dialog box on the Object Type tab.

To show information about whether a repository object is cached, select the Cacheable checkbox. If an object is cacheable, the Yes value is shown in the column.
