Setting Up Series Order

In the drop-down list select how the series should be displayed in the chart:

• Direct Order. Series are located in the same order as in the data table.

• Reverse Order. Series order in the data table is inverted.

• Arithmetic Mean. Arithmetic mean will be calculated for each series. Series are sorted in direct order of their values.

• Reverse Order by Arithmetic Mean. Arithmetic mean is calculated for each series. Series are sorted in reverse order of their values.

NOTE. To calculate the series arithmetic mean, the modules of all series point values are summed.

• Reverse Order as in Excel. Series order in the data table is inverted. The series will be grouped by their type: lines, followed by columns, followed by areas. If this order is set for an area chart, on export to Excel the series are shown in inverse order of their positions in the data table.

The selected data series order is shown in the Series list on the Series Order tab in the Chart Parameters dialog box. The chart legend will be rebuilt according to the selected series order.

To set up a custom series order, use the Series list that contains the names of data series available on the chart. The set series order sets the order of their displaying in the legend taking into account the configured series order on overlay.

NOTE. The setting is available for all chart types, except for the Histogram with Fluctuation Intervals chart type.

To change position of a series selected in the list:

• Drag the series to the required position.

• Click the appropriate button:

• Move Up. Moves the series one position up.

• Move Down. Moves the series one position down.

To reset the current series order and restore the default series order, click the Reset Order button. After resetting the order corresponds to position of data in the table, based on which the chart is built.
