Formatting Cells Satisfying Formula: Information panel

This conditional formatting type is used to format the cells satisfying the specified formula.

To set up formatting for the cells satisfying the specified formula, use the Conditional Formatting group of parameters on the side panel.

Open the Conditional Formatting group of parameters

Set the formula, according to which the cells to be formatted will be calculated.

Formula Creation Rules

A constant is a ready (non-calculable) value. For example, the following can be used as constants: date "10/10/2015, number "210" and text "Quarterly income". Expressions or its functions cannot are not constants.

Statements are operations that should be executed on formula operands. There is a standard calculation procedure but it can be changed using brackets. One can use various statement types during formula calculation: arithmetic and comparison.

Arithmetic statements are used to execute arithmetic operations, such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication. Operations are executed with numbers. The following arithmetic statements are available:

-	Subtraction.
*	Multiplication.
/	Division.

Comparison statements are used to compare two values. Comparison results in the logical value: True or False.

<	Less than.
>	Greater than.
