Working in Containerization and Virtualization Environments

The web application and the desktop application of Foresight Analytics Platform can work in various containerization and virtualization environments.

To provide application work, it is recommended to use containerization environments and orquestrators that use the environment to start containerd containers, for example, Docker and Kubernetes.

To provide application work, it is recommended to the following virtualization environments:

See the list of supported OS and DBMS when using containerization and virtualization environments at vendor websites.

When planning and deploying an application, the containerization and virtualization server administrator must use administrator guides provided by corresponding system vendors.

When Foresight Analytics Platform works in containerization and virtualization environments, one should use a Guardant or RMS based license server to activate the system.

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops or Microsoft Azure RemoteApp virtual environments can be offered to users as software as a service (SaaS) based on Foresight Analytics Platform.

Virtual environment Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) can be used for preparation and delivery of the Foresight Analytics Platform desktop version or Foresight Analytics Platform based ready solutions as virtual packages. When working with Microsoft Application Virtualization, use only Reg-free COM registration distribution files.

A virtual package is deployed on user computers and allows for working with Foresight Analytics Platform via virtual environment front end. The use of virtual packages makes the installation process of Foresight Analytics Platform easier because all required operations are executed on allocated server of virtual environment. Further deployment and access permission setup is executed via Active Directory.
