Working with Object Navigator

• Navigation panel. It contains name of the current folder, the Back button to return to the previous folder, and the Home button to open the root folder of the object navigator. The home page can be selected in application settings.

• Ribbon. It contains buttons for working with objects.

• Objects. It contains current folder objects. Displaying of objects depends on the selected display version.

• The Navigator tab. It contains all repository objects.

• The Favorites tab. It contains only favorite repository objects.

To update navigator objects, tap the button.

NOTE. Navigator objects cannot be updated when viewing demo examples.

To add an object to favorites:

1. Select and hold down the object until the selected object menu opens:

2. Select several objects if required. Objects view can be changed for easy object selection.

3. Tap the button.

After the operations are executed, the selected objects are added to favorites, and the corresponding message is displayed. Favorite objects can be viewed on the Favorites tab in the object navigator.

NOTE. Adding object to favorites is available only after logging in to the system.

To search for an object in the navigator:

1. Tap the button.

After the operation is executed, the search bar is displayed:

2. Enter full object name or its part.

After the operations are executed, the corresponding objects are output.

To reset the search, tap the button in the search bar.

To sort objects:

1. Tap the Sorting button in the drop-down menu of the button.

After the operation is executed, the sorting window opens:

2. Select the sorting:

• By Name. Objects are sorted by name in alphabetical order.

• By Type. Objects are sorted by folders, dashboards and regular reports.

• By Date Modified. Objects are sorted by date modified from the current date.

NOTE. Folders are sorted separately from objects of the Dashboard, Regular Report types.

After the operations are executed, objects are sorted.

To change objects view, tap the button:

• . Display objects as a list.

• . Display objects as tiles. Displaying of objects as tiles enables the user to preview object contents. To disable preview, deselect the checkbox next to the Preview Contents parameter in application settings.

NOTE. To preview objects, select theAllow Displaying of Objects as Icons Without Taking into Account Object Access Permissions checkbox in the security manager of Foresight Analytics Platform.
