Getting Started with the Development Environment Tool

To create a new assembly, unit or form:

In the object navigator:

Click the Create button in the web application's main menu and in the desktop application's context menu and select the type of created object.
Click the New Object > Development Environment > <Object Type> button in the Create group on the Home ribbon tab in the desktop application.

In the development environment. Select the File < Create main menu item and select the type of created object.

To open a ready object in the object navigator, select the assembly or unit and execute one of the operations:

Select the Open context menu item only in the web application.
Select the / Edit context menu item.
Double-click the object.

The development environment window contains the following elements:

Main menu. It contains main commands for working with development environment. By default, the main menu is hidden and the user can open it by means of the Main menu button. To show the main menu and pin it at the top of the development environment window, select the Pin Menu item in the drop-down menu of the Main Menu button. To hide the main menu, click the Unpin Menu button.
Toolbar. It contains buttons to work with development environment objects.
Side panel. It allows access to the following panels:

Project navigator.
Assembly inspector.
Code inspector.

Working area. It is used to write code of development environment units.
Panel area. It allows access to the following panels:

Compiler messages..
Console window.
Fins in units.
Breakpoints.
Call stack.
Watches.
Local variables.

There are some restrictions on developing the code that can be executed on web application running. |The use of specific classes, properties and methods will lead to exceptions. See below the list of resources prohibited to use in the web applications:

It is prohibited to work with clipboard (the use of properties and methods that copy/cut/paste to clipboard).
It is prohibited to work with forms (the Form class).
It is prohibited to use dialog boxes (dialog boxes implemented in the Ui assembly).
It is prohibited to work with properties determining the state and place of mouse cursor.

To check code correctness in the development environment, the specific drop-down list is implemented. The list contains application configurations, according to which compilation is executed:

When selecting the Web Application mode, if the macro text contains a code corresponding to the specified restrictions, the Class/Method is not Available to Be Used in Web Application error message is displayed.

The standard compilation method without restrictions is set by default.
