On working with data in table area via clipboard, the following operations are available:
To copy cell values or selected cell range to clipboard:
Select the Copy context menu item of the cell or cell range.
Press CTRL+C.
When data range autofilter is used on a data entry form sheet or in table area, data copying to clipboard is applied only to visible rows/columns.
To cut cell values or selected cell range to clipboard:
Select the Cut context menu item of the cell or cell range.
Press CTRL+X.
When data range autofilter is used on a data entry form sheet or in table area, cutting data range to clipboard is applied to all rows/columns during filtering regardless of their visibility. Behavior will be identical for the entire data range regardless of filter position.
To paste values of the cell or selected cell range from clipboard to the current table area location, press CTRL+V.
When the following is used for pasting:
The
Paste item in the cell's context menu.
The
Paste button on the Home toolbar tab.
The Edit >
Paste main menu item.
The information message is displayed informing about the necessity to use shortcuts.
If pasted range is out of the table area, paste will be executed inside table area.
If the size of selected for paste cell range is less, the range size where data is pasted will be broaden right and button to the size of pasted range.
If the size of selected for paste range is greater, only the range corresponding to the size of pasted range will be filled in.
When data range autofilter is used on a data entry form sheet or in table area:
Value of one cell is pasted to a cell range only in visible rows/columns.
Value range paste is applied to all visible rows/columns. The pasted value range is extended taking into account copy area size, including hidden rows/columns.
Behavior will be identical for the entire data range regardless of filter position.
The Interactive Data Entry Forms extension supports pasting of data on copying from the products:
Microsoft Office.
LibreOffice.
MyOffice.
Google Sheets.
Clipboard contents is pasted to a data entry form sheet:
With saving source formatting if the form is opened for edit.
Without saving source formatting if the form is opened for view.
NOTE. When data is pasted from MyOffice and Google Sheets, source formatting is not saved.
