basic settings of business application are available on creating a new or editing existing business application.
To set up a business application, use the business application creation wizard in the web application or the Create Object - Business Application dialog box in the desktop application:
Set the parameters:
Name. Enter business application name that will be displayed in the object navigator.
Identifier. Enter business application identifier. An identifier is a sequence of Latin letters, numbers and underscores and starts with a letter. An identifier must be unique for the given repository.
Create a Database Based on the Existing One. Select the checkbox and click the Select button to select a database, which connection settings will be used to create an application database. The database is used as a child object of business application to create relational objects. When the checkbox is deselected, a new database is created with connection parameters that are set in global variables of the repository. Database connection is executed automatically using the credentials specified on repository login.
NOTE. A database is created once on creating a business application.
NOTE. Enter text description if required. The parameter is available on creating and editing business application in the web application.
In the desktop application the Create Object - Business Application dialog box is available only on creating a business application. Parameters of existing business application are edited in the Object Properties dialog box or in the Common Parameters section in the designer of business applications.
To save the settings:
In the web application click the Save button.
In the desktop application click the OK button.
After creating a business application create an internal structure of business application.
