Editing Process: Web application

A process can be edited in the Set Up Business Process dialog box. On editing the process, stages or steps are added or deleted and the execution order also changes.

To select a single element in the working area, click the element.

To select all elements in the working area, press CTRL+A.

To select several elements in the working area:

Hold down the CTRL key and click each selected element one by one.
Select the Cursor mode on the toolbar and use a frame to select elements:

Determine a group of elements to be selected.
Click and hold down the mouse button outside the group of selected elements.
Start dragging the mouse cursor. A rectangular frame appears:

Move the cursor until all required elements are within the frame.
Release the mouse cursor. All elements fully or partially located within the frame are selected.

To rename a process, edit the process name in the main menu.

To rename a stage/step, double-click the stage/step name in the working area and set a new stage/step name.

NOTE. A step can also be renamed in the step edit mode.

To edit a step, select the step in the working area and click the Settings button on the toolbar. The parameters panel opens, on which make necessary changes.

To change step startup option:

Select the step in the working area and click the Settings button on the toolbar. The parameters panel opens.
Set step startup option on the Settings tab.

A step is copied/pasted with all settings, a stage is copied/pasted with all process child elements and their settings.

To copy and paste process step or stage:

Select step/stage in the working area by clicking on it. Several process elements can be selected.

NOTE. Copying several process elements is available only for elements of the Step or Stage type.

Select the Copy context menu item.

Select the step/stage in the working area, after which the copied step/stage should be pasted.
Select the Paste context menu item.

NOTE. Standard shortcuts for copy and paste operations are: CTRL+C, CTRL+V.

To change process stage or step order, select one or several stages/steps in the working area and drag them to the required position.

To delete stage or step:

Select the stage/step in the working area or in the process tree.
Execute one of the operations:

Press the DELETE key.
Click the Delete button on the toolbar.
Select the Delete context menu item.

To enable or disable a step in the process:

Select the step in the working area and click the Settings button on the toolbar. The parameters panel opens.
On the Settings tab select or deselect the Exclude from Execution checkbox.

The excluded step block is highlighted in gray.
