Setting Up Totals: Relational Data Area

To set up relational data area totals, go to the Totals tab of the Relational Data Area dialog box:

To set up totals, select a cell of a previously created template and execute one of the following operations:

Parameters of Totals

In the Group drop-down list select the group, for which totals should be calculated.

To show totals, select the Show Totals checkbox. The checkbox is selected by default.

In the Header box enter totals header in one of the following ways:

Enter the value from keyboard.
Click the button. The expression editor dialog box opens.

This box shows header if it was earlier defined on the Grouping tab.

In the Source Binding box set binding to the source field, which totals should be displayed. To create a binding, click the button.

After this the Data Source Binding dialog box opens:

Specify binding parameters by selecting the following radio button:

Data Source Field. One of relational data source fields will be used as a source. After selecting the radio button choose one of existing source fields in the drop-down list.
Formula. A formula is used as the source. After selecting the radio button click the button to specify the formula. The expression editor dialog box opens.

Select totals calculation method in the Method drop-down list. Available options:

None. Calculations are not executed.
Sum. Values are summed up.
Minimum. Minimum numeric value is selected.
Maximum. Maximum numeric value is selected.
Number of Non-empty. The number of non-empty values is determined.
Number of Empty. The number of empty values is determined.
Number of All Children. The number of child elements is determined.
Arithmetic Mean. The mean value is estimated accounting for empty values.
Actual Mean. The mean value is estimated ignoring empty values.
First Actual. The first existing (actual) value is taken.
Last Actual. The last existing (actual) value is taken.
Root-Mean-Square Deviation Based on Sample. Root-mean-square deviation is defined for row by sample data.
Median. Series median is determined.
Root-mean-square Deviation. Determines series root-mean-square deviation based on the entire population.

Select format settings for the cells, that will store totals, in the Format box.

To edit formatting options:

Click the button.
Select the Edit Formatting context menu item.

The Cell Format dialog opens.

To clear formatting and use formatting options by the default template:

Click the button.
Select the Clear context menu item.

To copy or paste configured formatting from one component to another, use the Copy or Paste context menu items.

NOTE. If totals format has been previously selected on the Grouping tab, these settings are shown in this component and on the Cell Format dialog box tabs.

NOTE. The user can set up totals for several groups by the same source field without closing the Total Parameters dialog box. To do this, select the required groups one after another and define appropriate settings.
