Setting Up Grouping

To add a group:

• Click the Add button.

• Select the Add item in the context menu of the Groups box.

The Group Parameters dialog box opens after executing one of the operations. Set up grouping parameters in the dialog box.

NOTE. The layout order is important when creating groups, as this order will be used to show groups on the report sheet.

To change the group order:

• Click the Up or Down buttons.

• Select the Move Up and Move Down item in the context menu of the Groups box.

• Drag a group.

To set up selected group parameters:

• Click the Edit button.

• Select the Edit context menu item in the context menu of the Groups box.

The Group Parameters dialog box opens after executing one of the operations:

Define the following parameters in the dialog box:

• Group Title. Enter group title in the box with one of the following methods:

• Enter the value from keyboard.

• Click the button. The expression editor dialog box opens.

• Source Binding. Set a binding to the source field, for which data should be grouped. Click the button to create a source field binding.

After this the Data Source Binding dialog box opens:

Set binding name.

To determine binding parameters, select the radio button:

• Data Source Field. One of relational data source fields is used as a source. After selecting the radio button choose one of existing source fields in the drop-down list.

• Formula. A formula is used as the source. After selecting the radio button click the button to specify the formula. The expression editor dialog box opens.

• Margin. Specify the distance between group title and the cell left edge in the box.

• Formatting. Set up group formatting in the box.

To edit formatting parameters:

• Click the button.

• Select the Edit Formatting context menu item.

The Cell Format dialog opens.

To clear formatting and use formatting parameters by the default template:

• Click the button.

• Select the Clear context menu item.

To copy or paste configured formatting from one component to another, use the Copy or Paste context menu items.

• Show Group in Separate Column. When the checkbox is selected, the user can place grouped data titles in a separate column. The checkbox is selected by default. If the checkbox is deselected, group titles are not imported.

• Pop-up Hierarchy. The pop-up hierarchy collapses and expands grouped data directly on the sheet, using the buttons   (collapsed hierarchy) and (expanded hierarchy). The checkbox is selected by default. The parameter is available if the Show Group in Separate Column checkbox is selected.

To delete the selected group:

• Click the Delete button.

• Select the Delete item in the context menu of the Groups box.

After executing one of the operations a confirmation dialog box opens.
