Setting Table Area Structure: Data Entry Forms

NOTE. If shared dimension is not added to sidehead dimensions or to shared dimensions of table area heading, it will be a private dimension of indicators.

To set up table area structure, use the Table Area Structure page of the Table Area Wizard dialog box:

Stages panel. It contains stage name buttons to navigate to a particular stage of table area setup.
Data sources. It contains the Dimensions and Indicators tabs that contains repository object trees.
Structure. It contains areas to set and set up dimensions of sidehead, heading and fixed dimensions.
Navigation panel. It contains buttons to navigate consequently between stages and finish table area setup.

Adding, Moving and Deleting Dimensions and Indicators

NOTE. If folders containing indicators and dimensions were set, hierarchy in dimension tree and indicators tree will be displayed to contents of the corresponding folder.

The item set depends on the panel where the dimension is placed. One or several dimensions can be moved simultaneously. To select several dimensions, use the SHIFT or CTRL keys.

To delete dimensions and indicators, select the Delete context menu item. One or several dimensions and/or indicators can be deleted simultaneously. To select several dimensions and/or indicators, use the SHIFT or CTRL keys.

Features of Including Private Dimensions to Shared

To make the table area look as required, private indicators dimensions can be included into shared sidehead dimensions.

Under each indicator in the Heading Dimensions tree of the Structure area in the Indicators branch, its private dimensions are displayed.

To move private dimensions of indicators to shared sidehead dimensions or back, select private dimension and:

NOTE. All private dimensions except parametric can be included into shared dimensions.

A private dimension, included into the Sidehead Dimensions tree of the Structure area, will get the

icon.

After the private dimension is moved to sidehead, it can be processed as sidehead dimension.

The example uses a data entry form with two indicators: Execution Deadlines (plan) and Amount of Capital Investment Implementation (plan). The shared dimension for two indicators is Investment Object Versions, which is displayed in the sidehead. Private dimensions of the Execution Deadlines (plan) indicator: Standard Stages and Execution Deadlines. Private dimensions of the Amount of Capital Investment Implementation (plan) indicator: Calendar, Project Participants, Currency, Including VAT, Items of Expenses. Values of the Project Participants, Currency, Including VAT dimensions are fixed. The heading displays dimension values:

Standard stages: development and validation of land planning documentation, registration of rights in land to perform construction and installation works.
Execution deadlines: scheduled start, scheduled end.
Calendar: 2018.
Items of expenses: total by items of expenses, expenses for construction and installation works, expenses for materials and equipment, other expenses:

Move the Items of Expenses dimension to shared dimensions. Then, the table will look as follows:

In the table, after the private dimension is moved to the sidehead, values of the indicator, which does not have a moved dimension, will be located in the first element, for the rest cells the editing will be unavailable.

Setting Up Fixed Dimensions

Setup of fixed dimensions is executed using context menu items and using the Fixed Dimension Aggregation Method drop-down list of the Structure area.

Aggregation allows for merging values of elements selected in fixed dimensions.

To set aggregation, select the method:

None. No aggregation is executed. Selected by default.
Sum. Values of fixed dimensions elements are summed.
Minimum. Minimum value is selected for fixed dimension elements.
Maximum. Maximum value is selected for fixed dimension elements.
Arithmetic Mean. The arithmetic mean of fixed dimension elements is defined considering empty values.

If in the Fixed Dimension Aggregation Method drop-down list the None option is selected, only one element can be selected in the Fixed Dimensions tree. If another aggregation method is selected, the multiple selection will be available for elements in the Fixed Dimensions tree.

For the example of fixed dimensions aggregation, use the table area, which fixed dimensions contain a calendar dimension. One element is selected in calendar dimension. If there is no aggregation, the table looks as follows:

Set up aggregation: select the Sum aggregation method and select three elements in calendar dimension. The table will look as follows:

As a result of aggregation application, the element values were summed.

The selection allows for limiting a list of fixed dimensions elements, based on which table area will be built.

To set a selection, follow the steps:

Select a group of elements in the Groups of Elements dimension context menu. Groups of elements selection is not a mandatory step.

Determine selection of dimension elements in the Fixed Dimensions tree. To do this:

Select the Edit item in the dimension's context menu. Depending on the selected method in the Fixed Dimensions Aggregation Method drop-down list:

Only one element can be selected if the No option is selected.
Multiple selection is available.

NOTE. If advanced filter is chosen on selecting dimension, it will be available to set up binding of fixed dimension value to form parameter. In this case, on changing parameter value, fixed dimension value will be automatically changed.

Select the selection schema in the Selection Schema drop-down list in the dimension's context menu. Depending on the selected method in the Fixed Dimensions Aggregation Method drop-down list:

The first element specified in the selected schema will be selected if the No option is selected.
Elements specified in the selected schema will be selected.

To reset selection, select the Selection Schema > Reset context menu item, which becomes available after selecting the selection.

If the filter application brought to the multiple selection by dimension, then for fixed dimensions with disabled aggregation the first selected element will be used for selection.

NOTE. The Selection Schema, Groups of Elements items are available if selection schema, groups of elements are set up in dictionaries.

Alternative hierarchies are used to create a set of dimension elements with hierarchy different from basic dictionary.

To set an alternative hierarchy, select the alternative hierarchy option in the Alternative Hierarchies drop-down list of the dimension's context menu.

NOTE. The Alternative Hierarchies item is available if alternative hierarchies are set up in dictionaries.

Filtering Shared Dimensions

To select elements based on attribute values for dimensions contained in all data entry form indicators, click the Filter Shared Dimensions button, the dialog box opens:

One or several links can be added. As a result, filtering by attribute links is set up.

To automatically determine dimension attribute link, click the Autosetup button.
