As a new version of Foresight Analytics Platform is issued, its update is required. Update is available in the desktop application.
Select the appropriate update method:
Update using installer. Each user must manually start update installer. Use this method to update if the number of users is small. For details see the Updating Using Installer article.
Automatic. Administrator must place update files in one source, from which multiple users are simultaneously updated. For details see the Autoupdate article.
An installer can be used to update Foresight Analytics Platform and help systems only within one release. To update help systems, the distribution file of Foresight Analytics Platform should be located at the same level with MSI installers of documentation (FP9Help_RU.msi, FP9Help_EN.msi). Only the previously installed help systems are to be updated.
The BI server and web application can be updated only using the installer (distribution files FP9BIServer.exe and FP9WebServer.exe).
