Using Interactive Controls

On adding an express report containing fixed dimensions to the document, title is used as control. To show or hide Title panel, use the Title button on the Foresight ribbon tab. The title is displayed as a hyperlink, which opens the hierarchical list to select fixed dimension element. Changes take effect after refresh.

To create a control, use the Report Objects panel:

1. Make sure that the panel is displayed.

2. Select the object dimension, for which a control is to be created.

3. Execute one of the operations:

1. • Select the Create Control item in the dimension's context menu.

   • Drag the dimension to the Controls panel.

After the sequence of operations is executed, a control is created. Element names and selection in the created control match the elements name and selection in the controlled dimension.

To search for dimension elements, click the Search button.

To work with the selection of dimension elements, use context menu items described in the Changing Selection in Dictionaries section.

The same control can manage selection in duplicate dimensions in multiple report objects. To do this, set up dimension selection synchronization:

1. Create a control for the required dimension of one of the objects.

2. In another object select the element that corresponds to the current dimension, and click the Value from Control item in the context menu. The list of available controls appears, where the user should specify the required element.

As a result, the created control affects element selection in both blocks.

To unbind an object from a control:

1. Select the object on the page to unbind it from a control.

2. Select the Delete Content Control item in the object's context menu.

The object is unbound from all controls.
