Data Drilldown and Drillup

To get detailed or general information about data, use data drilldown or drillup.

Available operations:

Operations are available for dimensions selected during drilldown setup.

Drilldown

Depending on the level of the executed context menu command one can drill down the first ad the second levels.

NOTE. Drilldown is unavailable if the selected data area range contains cells of different data sources and/or elements of different dimensions.

First-Level Drilldown

First-level drilldown requires that the Drill Down context menu item is selected.

First-level drilldown includes drilldown by hierarchy, drilldown with replacement and fixing, drilldown into relational data.

Second-Level Drilldown

Second-level drilldown requires that the Drill Down > <Dimension name> context menu item is selected.

Second-level drilldown includes drilldown by aggregated elements.

Drillup

Depending on the level of the executed context menu command one can drill down the first ad the second levels.

First-Level Drillup

First-Level drillup requires that the Drill Up context menu item is selected.

First-level drillup includes drillup by hierarchy and drillup with replacement and fixing.

Second-Level Drillup

Second-level drillup requires that the Drill Up > <Dimension name> context menu item is selected.

Dimension Replacement

To replace a dimension with a fixed dimension or dimension in source filter:

  1. Select sidehead/heading dimension.

  2. Select the Replace With > <Dimension name> context menu item.

After executing the command:

Replacement is also executed when the Drill Down/ Drill Up item is selected if the lowest/highest hierarchy of the dimension is reached or if the dimension does not have hierarchy.

To move to a certain dimension level, select:

Undoing the Last Step

To return to the previous step during drilldown, drillup, replacement, and moving to level, select a cell, cell range, one or several dimension elements and select the Back context menu item.

The command becomes unavailable when:

Restoring to Original State

To undo all changes during drilldown, drillup, replacement, and moving to level, select a cell, cell range, one or several dimension elements and select the To Original State context menu item.
