Setting Up Drilldown: Regular report, web application

To get detailed or general information about data, use data drilldown or drillup.

To set up available dimensions during drilldown or drillup and to set up element selection behavior, use the Set Up Drilldown dialog box:

To open the dialog box, select the slice on the Sources panel and select the Drilldown Settings context menu item.

Select the dimensions that can be used for drilldown, drillup, replacement and moving to level. To do this, select one or several dimensions in the Source Dimensions area and click the Add to Selected button. The selected dimensions will be moved to the Selected for Drilldown area.

To prohibit drilldown, drillup, replacement, and moving to level for dimensions. To do his, select one or several dimensions in the Selected for Drilldown area and click the Delete button. The selected dimensions will be moved to the Source Dimensions area.

By default, all source dimensions are located in the Selected for Drilldown area.

Order of dimensions in the list affects drilldown and drillup result with replacement of the dimension with fixed dimensions or dimensions in source filter.

A dimension is replaced during:

Drilldown: when the lowest hierarchy level is reached or the dimension does not have hierarchy. When drilldown continues, the dimension is replaced with fixed dimension or dimension in source filter located below in the list.
Drillup: when the highest hierarchy level is reached or the dimension does not have hierarchy. When drillup continues, the dimension is replaced with fixed dimension or dimension in source filter located above in the list.

Toggle the Extend Selection switch to active state to add to selection all elements of the lower/upper level than the selected one during drilldown/drillup/moving to level. The switch does not affect selection during drilldown with replacement, drilldown of aggregated data, drillup with replacement, drillup of aggregated data, and dimension replacement.
