Setting Up Data Protection from Editing

Regular reports enable the user to set up data protection from editing to further save changed data to source.

It is required to set up data protection from editing and further saving of changed report data to source.

Solution

When working with data, the user can set up protection of cell contents from editing. To do this, select the Locked checkbox on the Other tab of the Cell Format dialog box:

If the checkbox was selected, cell data was edited and then saved, on report refresh all data changes are canceled.

The user can set up saving changed data when working with data area in a regular report. To do this, select the Enable Save Changed Data to Data Source checkbox on the Parameters tab of the Data Area Properties dialog box:

When working with data table, to save changed table data, select the Save Data to Source checkbox on the Parameters side panel tab:

If the checkbox is selected, changed data is saved to the data source. If the checkbox is deselected, all changes in data are canceled on report refresh.
