Calculating Descriptive Statistics of Variables

The Descriptive Statistics tab located on the results panel is used to calculate descriptive statistics and view calculation results.

The tab contains parameters of statistics estimation and calculation results.

The set of parameters and results depend on the selected descriptive statistic. To select a statistic, use elements at the upper part of the tab:

All descriptive statistics are divided into several groups. Each statistics group has a corresponding radio button and a button that opens the menu containing the list of statistics included into this group. To estimate a descriptive statistic and to view its result, select the required statistics in the menu.

Available descriptive statistics:

Tests for unit roots:
- Augmented Dickey-Fuller Test.
Tests to check variables properties:
- Granger Test.
Cointegration tests:
- Johansen Test.

TIP. To calculate descriptive statistics by using the R methods, select the Use R on Calculating Descriptive Statistics checkbox on the Calculation tab in the Parameters dialog box. The feature is available, if in Foresight Analytics Platform has R package connected. For details see the How to Set Up Integration with R? section.
