Getting Started with the Modeling and Forecasting Tool

Create a new modeling container in the object navigator:

• Click the New Object > Modeling Container button in the Create group on the Home ribbon tab.

• Select the Create > Modeling Container item in the context menu of the object navigator.

To open a ready modeling container for edit or view in the object navigator:

• Select the modeling container and:

• Click the Edit button in the Open group of the Home ribbon tab.

• Select the Edit item in context menu of the modeling container.

• Select time series database and:

• Click the Open > In Modeling Container button in the Open group on the Home ribbon tab.

• Select the Open With > Modeling Container item in the context menu of the selected object.

In case of this opening method, the internal modeling container of time series database opens.

• Main menu. It contains a list of commands that are used to execute various operations with objects.

• Toolbars. It contains buttons to set up objects.

• Objects panel. It shows all modeling container objects as a tree.

• Scenarios panel. It contains a list of modeling scenarios that can be used for calculation.

• Working area. It is used to build models.
