Computer locking code is required to create a perpetual license and activate it via RMS.
To get a computer locking code, use the echoid console utility in Linus OS or the echoid.exe console utility in Windows OS. The application is included in Foresight Analytics Platform and is located:
In the folder with installed BI server /opt/foresight/fp10.x-biserver/bin in Linux OS.
In the folder with installed BI server and desktop application: C:\Program Files\Foresight\Analytics Platform 10.x\Tools in Windows OS.
Application start depends on the operating system in use and license type.
when the network license is used, start the utility as an administrator:
./echoid
When the stand-alone license is used, start the utility as the Apache2 service user:
Debian-based distributions:
sudo -H -u www-data ./echoid
RedHat-based distributions:
sudo -H -u apache ./echoid
ALT Linux:
sudo -H -u apache2 ./echoid
when the network or stand-alone license is used, start the utility as an administrator:
echoid.exe
After the utility is started, a computer locking code is obtained in decrypted form, for example:
12345678912A34567B89123456789C1234567D8912
