Setting Up Repository Access

Foresight Analytics Platform allows for working with several repositories at the same time and allows for storing connection parameters to them. Repository parameters are set up before getting started with the repository:

Creating a List of Repositories

To create a list of repositories, click the Setting button in the login dialog box.

The desktop application does not display repositories with configured authentication available in the web application.

To add a repository:

Click the Add button. The Set Up Repository Connection dialog box opens.
Set repository connection parameters.

After executing the operations the repository is added to the list of repositories and is available for opening.

To edit repository:

In the web application:

Select the repository and click the Edit button
Double-click the repository

In the desktop application:

Select the repository and click the Edit button
Select the Edit item in the repository's context menu
Double-click the repository
Select the repository and click the ENTER key.

After executing one of the operations the Set Up Repository Connection dialog box. Change repository connection parameters specified on adding.

To select a default repository that will be displayed automatically in the login dialog box on starting Foresight Analytics Platform:

in the web application select the Default Repository checkbox in the Set Up Repository Connection dialog box for a specific repository.
In the desktop application select the existing repository in the Default Repository drop-down list.

After executing the operations the default repository is selected.

NOTE. It is available only in the web application.

To open a repository, select it in the list of repositories and click the Open button. The login dialog box to log in to the system opens.

To delete repository:

In the web application select the repository and click the Delete button.
In the desktop application:

Select the repository and click the Delete button.
Select the Delete item in the repository's context menu.
Select the repository and click the DELETE key.

After executing one of the operations the repository is deleted from the list of repositories.

NOTE. The list of repositories is saved in the operating system registry. The operating system user who works with the list of repositories must have permissions to make changes in the registry.
