Data Mining > Selecting Data for Analysis
Tool interfaces in the web application and in the desktop application are identical, and differences in functionality are given in appropriate comments.
The location from which data mining is started determines various options of selecting data for analysis:
From Reporting Tool of Foresight Analytics Platform:
Dashboards. Data mining is executed on the data located in the Table visualizer (taking into account selection and filtering).
Analytical Queries (OLAP). Data mining is executed on the data located in the report data area (taking into account selection and filtering).
Reports. Data mining is executed on the data range located in the report data area.
Time Series Analysis. Data mining is executed on the data located on the workbook sheet.
From the Table repository object. Data mining is executed on the data located in the table.
Object Navigator. Select a table for data mining in the hierarchical tree of the repository objects. The contents of the selected table is displayed for viewing:
Click the Next button to continue work with data mining.
After selecting data for analysis select an analysis type.
