Tool interfaces in the web application and in the desktop application are identical, and differences in functionality are given in appropriate comments.

Selecting Analysis Type

The location from which data mining is started determines various options of selecting data for analysis:

From Reporting Tool of Foresight Analytics Platform. Click the button corresponding to the required analysis method in the Data Mining group on the Advanced Analytics ribbon tab:

From the Object Navigator and the Table repository object. In the dialog box select a radio button that corresponds to the desired analysis method:

In Foresight Analytics Platform the following methods of data mining are available:

Clustering.
Exception Search.
Pattern Substitution.
Key Factors.
Association Analysis.
Forecasting.

NOTE. Forecasting analysis type is available for all tools of Foresight Analytics Platform, except for the Time Series Analysis tool.
