Calculated elements use the user-defined formula to get the value, which can be based on dictionary source elements.
There are the following calculated element types:
Dimension element, for which formula is set up.
Calculation of subtotals and totals is used.
NOTE. Adding calculated elements is not available when global cache.
Any dimension element can be made a calculated one. To do this:
In regular reports:
Select the Element > Edit item in the dimension element's context menu on the selection panel or in the Total Dimension area in the Edit - <dimension name> dialog box.
Select the element and click the
Edit button in the Total Dimension area in the Edit - <dimension name> dialog box.
After executing one of the operations the Expression Editor dialog box opens.
In information panels:
Select the Element > Edit item in the dimension element's context menu on the Dimension Filter panel or in the Total Dimension area in the Edit - <dimension name> dialog box.
Select the element and click the
Edit button in the Total Dimension area in the Edit - <dimension name> dialog box.
After executing one of the operations the Expression Editor dialog box opens.
In express reports and analytical panels:
Select the Edit Formula item in the element's context menu on the side panel/in the table or in the Total Dimension list in the Edit Dimension dialog box.
Select the element and click the Edit Formula button in the Edit Dimension dialog box.
Select the element and click the Edit Formula button in the Element group on the Hierarchy ribbon tab.
After the command is executed, the Expression Editor dialog box opens.
To edit calculated element formula, execute the same operations as when creating a calculated element.
NOTE. Calculated elements are calculated automatically by defined formulas without being able to edit them manually.
