Preparing Landscape

To prepare the landscape, follow the steps:

Determining the number of environments.
Checking system requirements.
Installing the product.
Licensing.

When landscape preparation steps are completed, go to system development.

Determining the Number of Environments

It is recommended to develop the system as the sequence of environments that meet the customer's requirements. Types:

Demo Environment. It is created at data collection stage to see whether the customer's task can be completed. It is not used at later stages.
Research Environment. It is created at planning stage to check technologies and functionalities of the future system and to clarify the requirements. It is not used at later stages.
Development Environment (DEV). It is created at the same time with the test environment to develop a system functionality.
Test Environment (TEST). It is created at the same time with the development environment to test the developed system functionality. The developed functionality is transferred to the test environment from the development environment.
Production Environment (PROD). It is created on the customer side to implement the developed system functionality using company data. The developer functionality is transferred to the production environment only after successful testing in the test environment.

At least three environments must be created: development, test and production. The production environment is the target one, that is why take into account production environment elements and their interaction during system development and testing.

Prepare servers and software for each environment.

Foresight Mobile Platform: Installing and Setting Up Foresight Mobile Platform.

Licensing

The Foresight products use predefined set of features.
