Foresight Analytics Platform contains different types of help systems: local and online versions. The local Help is included into the desktop application of Foresight Analytics Platform, and online Help versions are located in the web site of FORESIGHT company or are deployed on the local drive of the end user.
Information can be searched both in online and local help systems.
Foresight Analytics Platform help system provides flexible management of search results and more effective search. Below are main features of search management by means of simple query syntax. If a query does not return satisfactory results, try to make it more precise by using the further described features.
Search features:
Search does not take case into account, that is, it is not case-sensitive. For example, the word "Report" is entered into the search field, the pages containing the words "Report", "report", "REPORT", and so on are found.
The search in online help system is executed taking into account different word forms. For example, the word "report" is entered into the search field, the pages containing the words "report", "reports", and so on are found.
The search in the local help is executed by the whole word. For example, if the word "report" is entered into the search field, the pages containing only the word "report" are found.
The search is executed in the help without taking into account stop-words. Stop-words themselves do not have a meaning. Such words are prepositions, interjections, particles, conjunctions, and so on. The list of stop-words ignored in search:
