Setting Up Lists

The List and the Drop-Down List controls enable the user to control block dimension elements.

The control will be inserted to the working area and configured to the selected link.

To work with elements of dimensions, use commands in the drop-down menu of the Control item in the list's context menu.

Setting Up Basic Parameters of Lists

Make sure that the side panel is displayed.
Select the control in the working area.
Go to the Block tab.

Except for basic parameters of object, the Block side panel tab enables the user to set up list font:

In the drop-down list select one of the fonts available in the operating system.

Select the required font size in the drop-down list or enter it using the keyboard.

Click the buttons that determine control title text style:

B. Bold.
I. Italic.
U. Underline.

If the button is pressed, the corresponding font style is used.

Select the required font color in the drop-down palette. To set a new font color, click the Spectrum button in the standard color palette and choose a color in the advanced color palette.

The Control Settings Tab

The tab is located on the side panel and is used to set up the List and Drop-Down List controls.

Make sure that the side panel is displayed.
Select the List or Drop-Down List in the working area.
Go to the Control Settings tab.

In the drop-down list select the link that corresponds to the controlled dimension. One link can control the dimension that is used in several dashboard blocks.

The link name is formed by the scheme: Link <link_number> (<controlled_dimension_name>).

The desktop application enables the user to create a new link. To create a new link, select the New Link item in the Link drop-down list, which contains the list of blocks and their available dimensions. To create a new link, select the required dimension contained in the New Link list. The link will be created and selected for the control.

TIP. The Document Dimension Synchronization tab is used to work with links of all dashboard blocks and the Dimension Synchronization tab is used to work with links of the selected block.

The Multiple Selection parameter is available if a link is set. The checkbox is selected by default, and the multiple selection of dimension controls is available in a control.

TIP. Deselect the Multiple Selection checkbox if the control is used for fixed dimension.

The Show Dictionary as in Block drop-down list contains a list of blocks managed by a control. A controlled dimension may have different display settings in each block. Select the block, which settings will be used to display dimension in a control.

The Linked Block Dimensions list contains names of the blocks, which dimensions are controlled by a link.

To delete link. Click the button and select the Delete Link item in the menu that opens. The link will be deleted. The control stops to control any dimensions.
To remove the selected block from the link. Click the button and select the Remove from Link item in the menu that opens. The block will be removed from the link. The control stops to control the dimension of the removed block.

To work with all dashboard block links, click the Dimension Synchronization Settings button. The Document Dimension Synchronization tab appears on the side panel.
