Setting Up Component Dependencies

Setting up user component dependencies on used system components of Foresight Analytics Platform is required to provide its stable work on updating component versions of Foresight Analytics Platform.

The list of required system components depends on objects used in custom application. For example, if calculation algorithms are used, the required system component is Calculation Algorithms. System components depend on each other. System component dependencies are described in the Installing Foresight Analytics Platform Extensions article.

To set up component dependencies, follow th steps:

1. Open the component for edit:

• Click the Edit button on the Home ribbon tab.

• Select the Edit context menu item of the selected component.

• Press F4.

2. In the component designer go to the Edit Dependencies section:

• In the left part of the All Repository Components window, select with a cursor the required Foresight Analytics Platform component.

• Click the button. The selected component with the specified indicator and version will be displayed at the right part of the Components Required for Work dialog box.

NOTE. The required system components for all custom components:
1. Designer of Business Applications - on setting up default dependencies it is displayed in area of components required for work.
2. Connecting to Repository Database - it is created and added manually. As far as all objects in components depend on database, create a custom component and include the database in use in it (as in the steps 1-2).

3. To save settings and exit the designer, click the Finish button.

After dependencies are set up, set up public objects.
