Grouping Functionality Into Components

The component designer is used to group functionality used in various business applications and to provide integrity control on updating versions of Foresight Analytics Platform components in use.

The work with component is executed in the Foresight Analytics Platform desktop application.

To create and set up a component, follow the steps:

  1. Create the Component object:

NOTE. To create a customer component the repository must contain extension of Designer of Business Applications of Foresight Analytics Platform.

  1. Move previously created objects to the component:

  1. Set up component dependencies from other components of Foresight Analytics Platform required to provide its stable work:

  1. Select which component objects should become public to be used in various business applications:

  1. Select object classes in use that are referred to this component and that will be added to repository after adding the component:

  1. Create an update package specifying component name and update version:

  1. Install the created update package with component version to the required repository:
