If required, export security policy settings and object access permission settings.
NOTE. Security policy and access permissions for objects can be exported only in the desktop application.
To export security policy settings:
Go to the Policy Editor navigation panel section.
Select the Tools > Export Security Policy Settings main menu item:
NOTE. Security policy settings can be exported by the user who holds the Changing User Permissions, Roles Distribution, Changing Policy privilege.
Executing the command opens a standard dialog box where the user needs to specify file name and path. By default, the following file name is offered: Security policy <repository name> for <date>.
After completing export the system offers to open the generated file. Answering Yes opens the generated file in CSV files viewer, registered in OS.
To export access permissions:
Go to the Policy Editor Navigation navigation panel section.
Select the Tools > Export Access Permissions main menu item and select an option in the drop-down menu:
By Object Type. Access permissions in the file are granted based on object type. For example, first permissions for all repository folders are listed, then for all tables, and so on.
By Folders, by Object Type. Access permissions in the file are shown in accordance with the repository structure, that is, a comprehensive hierarchy of repository objects is generated, where child objects are sorted by their type. For example, first permissions for a root folder are displayed, then permissions for the objects contained in this folder, sorted by object type, and so on.
NOTE. The user who holds the Changing Security Label and Access Control List of Any Object privilege can export access permissions.
