Setting Up Title as Interactive Control

Title of the express report can be displayed in two modes:

• Simple. The title is displayed as a text.

• Control. The title is displayed as a hyperlink, which opens the hierarchical list to select selection element. The mode is selected by default.

To select title view mode, select the Simple or Control radio button in the drop-down menu of the Title button on the Home or View ribbon tabs.

A title can support several user interface languages, for example, Russian and English. Such titles are named multilingual. To create a multilingual title, use the Fore language.

NOTE. If the title is multilingual, the title is set up for the current language of custom repository.

Templates are inserted by means of the keyboard.

Available templates:

• &[Name]. Report name.

• &[Datasource]. Data source name.

• &[Selection]. The current selection by all fixed dimensions.

• &[Date]. The current date.

• &[Time]. The current time.

• &[Value]. The value obtained on fixing all dimensions in visualizer data source.

• &[EXPRESSION:<e>]. The value calculated by the set expression, where e is expression. The following may be used as expression:

• Formula. It is available to use arithmetic and logical functions similar to those used in the expression editor. For example: &[EXPRESSION:Average(1,2,3)].

• Function calculated by Fore unit. The function is specified in the following format: <Unit identifier>.<Function identification>. For example, the Func function contained in the TESTEXPR unit: &[EXPRESSION:TESTEXPR.Func].

• &[Dimensions.<id>]. The current selection of the set dimension where id is identifier of the required dimension. For example: &[Dimensions.CALENDAR].

• &[<v>.Metric.<m>]. The current selection of the set metric where v is visualizer, and m is visualizer metric. For example: &[Grid.Metric.FontSize]. The template is available only for the visualizer, in which metrics are set.

The drop-down menu of the Selection button contains a list of substitutions for adding in the title.

The Dimensions substitution enables the user to insert a substitution with dimension selection into the title.

NOTE. If a calendar dimension is selected as dimension in substitution, on working with substitution the selection mode is available: By Elements Only, By Levels Only, or By Elements and Levels. The available mode is set on the Data Source Structure tab of the Structure and Parameters dialog box. Working with selection in such substitution is similar to working with calendar dimension element selection.

If metrics were set up for dimensions, substitutions with them are available in the Metrics group:

• If synchronization of metrics is set, the Value/Color, Size substitutions are available.

• Substitutions by metrics will be available for each included visualizer.

To set up font, use the elements in the Font group:

• Font. Select one of the fonts available in the operating system.

• Font size. Set the required font size. The size is set in points, and it can be selected in the drop-down list or entered manually. Available values range: [1; 72].

• Font Style. Set font style using appropriate buttons. Several styles can be created at the same time.

• Font color. Select font color in the drop-down color palette.

• Background color. Select background color in the drop-down color palette. The feature is available only in the desktop application.

TIP. Use the Font tab in the Format dialog box for advanced font setup in the desktop application. To display the dialog box, click the button at the right bottom corner of the Font group on the ribbon tab, or select the Format item in the context menu of the title that is in the edit mode.

Formatting can be applied to the entire title or its parts.

NOTE. The option is available only for the Value substitution.

To set up number format, select the Value substitution and use the Number Format group.

Select one of the supported data formats in the drop-down list.

To quickly set up data format, use the buttons:

•  - converting to currency format. To select currency, use the drop-down menu of the button.

•  - converting to percentage format.

•  - converting to number format.

•  - decreasing digital capacity. It is used to display less accurate values.

•  - increasing digital capacity. This is used to display more precise values.

TIP. In the desktop application, to execute additional title number format setup, use the Number Format tab in the Formatting dialog box. To display the dialog box, click the button at the right bottom corner of the Number Format group on the ribbon tab.

To set up alignment:

• In the desktop application. Use buttons in the Alignment group of commands for horizontal and vertical alignment.

• In the web application. Use buttons in the Font group of commands for horizontal alignment.

To select exact value of the title height:

1. Deselect the Height Autofit checkbox.

2. Set height value in the Height box.

To set up automatic height autofit:

1. Select the Height Autofit checkbox.

2. Set maximum value of title height in the Height box.
