Object Modifications Analysis: Update manager

The objects modifications analysis is used to get information on modifications of repository objects, depending on the specified parameters. To analyze object modifications, one should set up auditing of security subject actions and history of object modifications for the selected operations in the security manager.

NOTE. The object modifications analysis is available only in the desktop application.

Select the search period for modifications in the drop-down list in the Modifications Period group of parameters:

Today. Changes made within the current day.
Yesterday. Changes made yesterday.
Current Week. Changes made within the current week.
Previous Week. Changes made within the previous week.
Current Month. Changes made within the current month.
Previous Month. Changes made within the previous month.
Specified Dates. Changes made within the period specified using the Start Date and End Date date editors. These editors are available only for viewing changes within the specified dates.

Select users and workstations in the User Info group of parameters:

OS User(s). Names of users who were authors of changes are specified in the field using semicolon. The Select Users and Groups dialog box can also be used, it is opened by clicking the Select button to the right from user names edit box.
Workstations. Names of workstations used for changes are specified in the box using semicolon. Clicking the Select button next to the edit box opens the Select Workstations dialog box. The OK button is available if one or more workstations are selected with the checkbox.

NOTE. If the OS User(s) box and the Workstations box are empty, the analysis will show changes made by all users from all workstations.

Select object classes to be analyzed in the Object Classes group of parameters:

Select the corresponding checkboxes in the list of object classes.
Click the Select All button to select checkboxes of all object classes.
Click the Deselect All button to deselect all checkboxes.

To work with the object classes list, use the context menu:

Expand Entire Hierarchy. It expands list hierarchy.
Collapse Entire Hierarchy. It collapses list hierarchy.

Executing Modifications Analysis

Analysis results will be displayed in the Found Objects list. After an object is selected in the list of found objects, the History of Object Modifications table shows information on object changes: name and identifier, date and time, operation, user.

If required, add objects from the Found Objects list to the update. The objects added to the update will be highlighted in bold in the list.
